I was excited to try this new release, especially because I’m not a fan of the original Donna. I detected something harsh and unpleasant in it, which kept me away from trying anything else in the line. Donna flankers were not at the top of my perfume try-on list. However, when they introduced this one, my curiosity was piqued. I adore fragrances with tea notes, such as Hermes L’Ombre des Merveilles, which I own and love—a sentiment you’ll find in my post about that perfume. Donna Stravaganza sets itself apart from both the original Donna and L’Ombre. The latter is green, smoky, aromatic, reminiscent of cold tea, while Donna is a feminine, fresh, floral beauty.
