I was really looking forward to this release. If you’ve read my blog, you know my love for the Issey Miyake house. I can’t quite explain how much I adore their perfumes. Maybe it’s because I was young when they launched L’Eau d’Issey, and every time I smell it, it brings back memories of my childhood.
That’s why I wait every new release with anticipation. This one was no different. And then, something mysterious happened.
From the first spritz, I was transported to a green forest after rain, experiencing the natural, earthy, cooling essence. There’s a hint of citrus, possibly from magnolia. She is a waxy, lemony floral aroma, fresh and lush simultaneously, a prominent characteristic of this scent. Fortunately, there is no “saltiness” in the aquatic note, which, in my opinion, wouldn’t suit this composition well—although I appreciate salty scents in other fragrances.
Overall, this perfume is light and airy, delivering a watery, soothing, and delicate experience.
