Crafted by perfumer Juliette Karagueuzoglou, Nomade Nuit d’Égypte offers a modern take on ancient alchemical traditions using ingredients from historic kyphi recipes. From the first spray, myrrh emerges, blending rich resinous tones with spicy hints of ginger and cinnamon, alongside the honeyed essence of broom flower nectar. Kyphi was a luxury used by pharaohs like Tutankhamun for their journey to the afterlife. The detailed recipe was found on temple walls in Egypt and included 16 unique ingredients: ground frankincense, myrrh, mastic, dried and ground calamus root, dried lemongrass, dried mint leaves, dried and ground juniper berries, cinnamon, raisins soaked in wine, and honey. Kyphi was also specifically used in temple rituals.
